Reflections
A collection of essays exploring belonging, identity, grief, intergenerational healing, and the quiet process of returning to ourselves. These writings weave together personal reflection, cultural context, and the questions that continue to shape both my own life and my work as a therapist. My hope is that they offer language for experiences that often feel difficult to name—and perhaps a reminder that you are not alone in them.
Returning to What Has Always Been Mine
I felt it the first time I took a tai chi class — my breath letting go before I'd decided to release it. And underneath that exhale was a memory: early mornings in Taiwan, a town square full of seniors moving together, unhurried, because it was simply what you did with your morning and your neighbors. Standing in a studio here, decades later, I felt something soften in me. Not learning something new — being met by something that had been waiting.
